Short Bio Catherine is a professional makeup artist with over 15 years of experience working in London, ON and surrounding areas.

Long Bio It all started when Catherine was a little girl playing with her mothers makeup collection. In high school, Catherine was always the friend getting ready last because she was doing everyone else's makeup (she didn't mind). The same applied in University. Makeup was always my favourite way to express my individuality and showcase my talents amongst sleepless nights of studying for exams and dancing the night away at parties. I used it as a form of therapy and a means of financial support to get through some of the toughest years in school. I freelanced my way through life for years before I even considered enrolling myself in makeup school. Recently after graduating Western, I packed my things and flew to Alberta on a whim. This chapter is where Catherine became an independent woman. I worked an endless amount of jobs, including my first real opportunity in the makeup industry, Sephora. The makeup mecca! I became a skincare consultant at one of the largest Sephoras in Canada located in Edmonton, Alberta. Previously having been an Arbonne Consultant back in Ontario, I was prepared to merge the knowledge I gained in skincare with the knowledge I had in makeup. With my expertise in these two fields I was able to educate and empower all kinds of customers. A couple years passed and I moved back to London, ON where I enrolled in Elegance School of Cosmetology School and graduated with a certificate in Makeup Artistry. Things were definitely put into perspective for me when I admitted to my parents that I was more excited to frame my makeup certificate than  I was my university degree. Shortly after graduating Elegance, I started working at Shoppers Drug Mart as a Cosmetician where I hosted makeup classes for customers featuring brands like Vichy, Dermablend, Visanti, and Lise Watier.  With Shoppers Drug Mart having such a great selection of both affordable and luxury beauty brands, I became obsessed with discovering dupes for high end products and being able to broaden my product recommendation list to customers. After working in the retail industry, I decided to part ways and start working as the salon coordinator and primary makeup artist at Nova Vita Salon located in downtown London. Working alongside dozens of professional stylists and collaborating with local businesses on a daily basis, I learned so much about how to run a successful business, customer relations, marketing, and salon efficiency.  That chapter in my life was full of women empowerment and the freedom to do what I love most on a frequent basis, makeup!

Fast forward a couple years, I am a new mom! It is safe to say becoming a mother has been the biggest adventure of my life. To be honest, I've never known a love like this, I've also never questioned myself this many times before either. Motherhood is no walk in the park! Similar to my career path, although challenging at times, it is well worth it in the end.

The desire to start my own business has always been a dream of mine which is why I have decided to become my own boss . I am in the process of creating the studio of my dreams and can't wait to share it with you in the in the new year! In the meantime, I provide mobile makeup services and also operate out of my intimate in-home studio as well.  Please note, I take great pride in making sure that all my clients leave their appointments feeling satisfied and empowered. It is also very important to me that we reach a mutual understanding of what your vision is before meeting, so feel free to reach out to me anytime via email or phone. Whether it is a wedding, prom, fashion show, headshot, photoshoot, music video, film set, etc. I assure you I am well equipped and well prepared to make it happen. Editorial gigs have always been my favourite because I have the freedom to go avante garde and try new techniques/looks. However, I can't help but fall in love with a brides final glance at herself before becoming a Mrs. too. As long as I am doing makeup, I am a happy gal! My go to music playlist while working includes Sam Smith, Leon Bridges, Adele, The Kooks, Aretha Franklin, Kendrick Lamar, JP Cooper, Melody Gardot, Coldplay, John Legend, and Lee Ann Womack.  With that being said, if one day I have the pleasure of having you seated in my chair... hope you dance. Wink wink!
